JOHN LENNON was not a fan of one of Elvis Presley’s songs. He told the King’s fans that he “hated” the lyrics and the beat. The Beatles star expressed pity for the King of Rock and Roll, calling him “poor old Elvis”. But Lennon was later proven wrong by the single’s success.
