LABELLED a national treasure, Dame Judi Dench has worked on both stage and screen since the late 1950s. A programme airing tonight on Channel 5 works through Dench’s remarkable life and career from her Quaker upbringing through to her award-winning performances. More recently, the 87-year-old acting legend has spoken about a new set of ambitions she wishes to fulfil, most of which involve battling health ailments that have accompanied her with age.
