OUTLANDER began with Frank Randall taking his wife Claire to Inverness where they planned to spend their delayed honeymoon. Frank was left distraught when Claire disappeared, travelling back in time to 18th Century Scotland, and he was left alone. While Claire later returned, their relationship was never the same.
