Israeli strikes blasted a huge crater in a designated safe zone in southern Gaza before dawn on Tuesday, setting tents ablaze and killing several people. Separately, the Israeli military said admitted it ‘indirectly and unintentionally’ shot dead a West Bank activist last week.
