INDIANA JONES was a massive success when the first movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, was released in 1981 – but not everyone was as thrilled by its sequel, The Temple of Doom. Steven Spielberg himself confessed the movie was “too dark”, and even called it “too horrific”.
