JOHNNY DEPP starred in the tortured gothic love-story movie Edward Scissorhands under the direction of Tim Burton in 1990. To get into character, Depp wore some of his costume to bed at home after shooting had finished. This eccentric use of the costume came just before he split up with fiancée Winona Ryder, who Burton claimed “stole Depp’s soul”.
