Salma Hayek is delvering zen yoga poses in platform heels and she’s “pulling no punches.” The 54-year-old actress, massively in the news of late for upcoming MCU movie The Eternals, is fresh from a glamorous and unusual photoshoot for her Variety feature, one that brought the Mexican talking about her career and revealing a near-fatal COVID battle. Sharing shots and video footage from the shoot with her 17.9 million Instagram followers, Salma stunned her fans. Check out the balancing act below.

Hayek, whose Ajak role in The Eternals brings on a gender twist as the originally-male character turns female via her, had gone for a feminine, but empowering, shoot. The Latina, outfitted in various getups from a sheer-sleeved and plunging blue dress to a statement white pantsuit, delivered her yoga pose in the latter.
Shot amid fine furnishings, hardwood floors, and chandeliers, Salma balanced on one leg in cream platform sandals, holding up both hands for a Buddha finish.

The actress, who did rest one leg high up on the chair in front of her, nonetheless balanced impressively, sending out a bold red lip and fierce energy, with subsequent snaps showing her crouching down by a fireplace with Egyptian statues as she rocked a sheer, polka-dot red dress.

Salma was asked if she’d ever imagined she’d land a superhero role as a woman “facing the menopause.”
“I remember there were two big comedies I auditioned for the lead. Afterwards, the directors told me that I was the best audition and that I was better than who they cast and that they regretted it. But at the time, they knew the studios wouldn’t have gone for a Mexican as the lead,” she replied. The age-defying star is also pulling her own stunts in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. More below.

Salma, who will feature alongside superstar actress Angelina Jolie in the upcoming MCU flick, added: “It never crossed my mind to be in a Marvel movie. I guess that I thought that boat had sailed, and it was an absolute shock. All of a sudden, I got a call: “They want to talk to you about a new franchise.” And I was like, “What?”
Salma continues to be one of the few celebrities in her age bracket racking up the Instagram followers. She’s gained nearly 1 million since hitting 17 million earlier this year.
