House prices surge to highest levels since 2004 as ‘hunger’ for larger properties grows

HOUSE PRICES increased annually by a staggering 13.4 percent in June to the highest level since November 2004, according to Nationwide’s latest house price index. Property experts claim there is a “hunger” for larger homes which could represent a “permanent shift” to the current market.
