Dr. Wendy Osefo just entered into her second season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, the sixth for the Bravo reality series, and during an interview with Madamenoire on July 15, via Yahoo! Life, she opened up about the differences she noticed between year one and year two.
"I think during your rookie you don’t know what to expect from the women, being on reality TV and just in general," Dr. Osefo explained.
Meanwhile, during one’s sophomore season, there are less surprises.

"I think the sophomore season you come in having your foot more grounded because you’ve been through a year, you know the women on and off camera and you sort of know how filming works," Dr. Osefo explained.
As fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac well know, Dr. Osefo was brought to the cast in 2019 for season five on the heels of Katie Most‘s exit.
"If I can sum up my second season in one word it would be ‘prepared,’" she added.

Looking back on production on The Real Housewives of Potomac season six, which began in 2020, Dr. Osefo admitted to allowing herself to be more vulnerable as cameras rolled.
"For me my first season was more of an introduction, like let’s get to know her just on the surface level. This season we are peeling back layers. It’s like an onion. With this season you guys get to know more about me, some of my struggles and things that I have going on in my life," she explained.
Dr. Wendy Osefo Believes Mia Thornton Is A ‘Breath Of Fresh Air’
While Dr. Osefo was a bit hesitant about Mia Thornton when she was first added to the cast, she told Madamenoire she likes her now.
"I think Mia is a great addition to the cast and is a breath of fresh air. I was apprehensive because that was a bomb being dropped on me because I didn’t know we were going to have a new person joining. So that’s what you guys saw. I wanted to ask all these questions but we were filming. But Mia is a great addition. She is really really good," Dr. Osefo admitted.

Also during the interview, Dr. Osefo confirmed that while she is still a professor, she’ll be seen exploring new endeavors during season six.
"I think that being a professor has allowed me to explore my options. Being a professor has allowed me to see that I love communicating, hence the commentator piece," she shared. "This season you guys get to see me opening the doors to other opportunities in my life."
