Gabby Petito Update: Witness Allegedly Saw Brian Laundrie In Canada

TikTok user who claims she saw Brian Laundrie in Canada.

Twenty-two year old Long Island native Gabby Petito went on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie in July, but never returned home.

Her body was found last week in the Grand Trenton National Park, Wyoming.

As for Laundrie, he drove back to his North Port, Florida home in Petito’s 2012 Ford Transit van, but has been missing since Tuesday last week.

A federal warrant for Laundrie, who still hasn’t been found, was issued on Thursday.

Here’s the latest update on the case.

Woman ‘Saw’ Laundrie In Canada

A flight attendant saw on Monday a man who apparently looks strikingly similar to Laundrie outside of a hotel in Toronto, Canada.

As The New York Post reported, in a video released via TikTok, the flight attendant said that the man appeared "flustered."

"I’m not sure if this looks like him or if I just fell too far down the rabbit hole," she said in one of her video clips.

She added that a worker at the hotel told her that the man "didn’t know where he was going and he had the wrong hotel."

The woman snapped a photo of the man and compared it to a photo of Laundrie.

The man she photographed does indeed look like Petito’s missing boyfriend: he appears to be of a similar build, is balding, and has facial hair.

"It looked so much like him — it made me feel really nauseous because I’ve never seen him in person, like many of you haven’t, and this is exactly how I imagined he would look," the woman said.

"You can see the dip in his mustache and the ears are bent down," she noted.

FBI Reportedly Tipped Off

The woman said that she informed the hotel staff that she thought the man looked just like Laundrie, but noted that "the employees at the hotel didn’t have any idea about the case, which was concerning."

The woman pointed out that the man got into a car and drove off with another man, after realizing he had the wrong hotel.

She apparently sent the photo of the Laundrie lookalike to local news outlets and reported the encounter to the FBI.

Witnesses

A witness named Jessica Schultz helped the FBI find Petito’s body.

Schultz saw Laundrie in late August near Grand Teton National Park, which is where Petitio’s body was found.

"He was just acting weird. You know, when you’re out in the middle of nowhere, your hackles go up when you see something that’s out of the ordinary," she told The San Francisco Chronicle in an interview.

According to Schultz, an FBI agent contacted her last week to reveal that her tip was key to finding Petito’s body.
