There was something wonderfully cinematic about 2018’s horror hit A Quiet Place. The simple premise – humans tiptoe around a ruined America as blind monsters with acute hearing lurk in the shadows – forced director John Krasinski to forget dialogue and make full use of his cinematographer, editor and sound designer.
