ASHLEIGH BARTY is seeded as number one for women’s singles in this year’s Australian Open. The Australian world number one dominated the court in her first round match against Lesia Tsurenko, progressing into the second round in a staggering 54 minutes. Although thriving when playing in front of her home crowd, at the beginning of her career Barty left the sport altogether as a result of a mental health battle.
