Cynthia Appiah has long admired Welsh shot putter Adelé Nicoll, a member of the Great Britain bobsleigh team at the 2022 Beijing Olympics before she returned to win shot put gold at her national championships. This bobsled off-season, Appiah has returned to her shot put roots.
