Christian Siriano's Fall fashion show probably had the most star-studded appearance of the season as Drew Barrymore, Danielle Brooks, Alicia Silverstone, Hannah Waddingham, Anika Noni Rose, and more Hollywood leading women lit the front row in excitement. Barrymore showed up in a silk and cotton red pantsuit and RuPaul's drag race Symone in a Lime Green SS22 Christian Siriano tulle two-piece while the rest of the ladies decked out in all-black outfits.
Introduction To The Victorian Matrix
According to Siriano's show notes, "Some days feel like we are living in the Victorian era, while others feel like we're living in the Matrix."
With The MATRIX: Resurrections hitting the theaters last year, it's not surprising the young designer felt like we're stuck in some SciFi simulation. The trilogy defined a generation, and now its reboot is reigniting nostalgia in the same way Siriano's Victorian Matrix does. The lingering Covid-19 pandemic also plays a huge role in his Fall designs as he asks,
"I can't help but question what our world will look like after. What will happen to the Fashion Industry? Would Customers continue to shop? Will the word remain virtual?"Step Into The Matrix
Get ready to wear a "Whole Lotta Blue" this Fall with Siriano as the designer opened his show with models in Navy Blue leather. Siriano said the computer screen blue inspired the Inky Blue hue of the first catwalk as he told a story with his designs through shapes, fabrics, and color palettes. He picked every piece carefully, and each one was as important as the other. Siriano also revealed backstage to InStyle that his creativity peaked when he let go of critics' opinions.

An Epic Climax
Coco Rocha closed the show in a dramatic low-waist Ballgown with puffy sleeves and a hood cat walking to a round of applause. Thanks to an ongoing partnership with the brand, Siriano adorned her ears with Luminous Diamonds earrings.

When Fashion shows and other activities stalled in 2021 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Christian Siriano continued hosting fashion shows. The 36-year-old designer explained to InStyle Magazine that people often forget the Fashion industry requires hard work, so he hosted his shows to remind us.
"I have to remind people that fashion's so hard — we never know what's going to happen tomorrow. We all really are understanding that now, I think. And, for us, it's like, if I don't have shows, or I don't do this fantasy world, or bring someone into a Victorian Matrix underground in the Empire State Building, then all I'm doing is sitting at my office, talking about bills and what is going to happen in fashion. I don't want to do that."The designer also expressed his joy at seeing his customers turned friends attend his shows wearing his pieces.
