Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is upside-down, on the beach, and calling her photo a “fun shoot.” The 26-year-old former athlete, who rarely shares the extent of her flexibility as she updates for her 2.1 million Instagram followers, today broke the mold as she rocked a mismatched bikini right on sands, with the steely display of strength coming as she posed head down and legs up – one by a palm tree. Scroll for the photo. The “Fierce Five” captain, this year making headlines for her new OFFLINE clothing collab with clothing retailer Aerie, was promoting the brand she fronts, but it was a discreet affair as Aly only used a tag.
Upside-down and using her hands to support herself, the Boston resident had been snapped backed by lapping waters and sands, resting one very long leg and pointed foot against a palm and rocking a patterned blue bikini top and black bottoms.

The gardening lover, whose Instagram is more about her zucchini and melons seedlings than massive displays of flexibility, showed off her rubber-band body and muscles, but it was a light-hearted finish as the caption read: “Throwback to this fun shoot.” Aly might no longer be on the beam, but the skills are for life for this Pilates lover.
Aly’s OFFLINE collab is inspired by animals: “You can mix and match the collection and you can also find something for your cute dog as well,” she told her Twitter followers. More photos after the snap.
More Than Just Clothes
Aly is immensely proud to be partnering with Aerie, with the collab donating a portion of profits to help adults combat sexual abuse of children.
“It means so much to me that Aerie is supportive of this important initiative and also willing to help financially because it will provide more free training for adults who want to become educated on prevention,” Aly stated.
“I hope that every adult who is ever around children takes the course as it provides a better understanding of the warning signs of an abuser,” she added. More snaps below.
Mental Health Battles
Aly, who suffered a low point after the 2016 Olympics and could barely “walk” up stairs without pain, has been sharing her journey back to health, one aided by Pilates, mindfulness, meditation, and the star’s companion, blue-eyed dog Mylo.
Fans today loved the snap. “Is the tree holding you up or are you holding up the tree?” one asked. Another called her “absolutely stunning.” Aly will this summer be leading the kiddies at gymnastics camp, something she announced earlier this year.
