The Saturday Night Live cast weighed in on the rumored romance between Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian during a recent appearance at the American Museum of Natural History’s 2021 Museum Gala in New York City.
Last Thursday night, as they attended the gala, the group spoke to PEOPLE about the alleged new couple.
"I mean, you’ve got to be happy for love, I guess. If it’s love! They look like they’re having a good time," Kenan Thompson said. "I’m always happy when he’s happy."
Happy If Pete Is Happy
Bowen Yang felt the same about Davidson, who Thompson said was like a "little brother."
"I don’t know what the nature of the friendship is, but it seems like they’re having a good time hanging out," Yang shared, refusing to confirm, or deny if he knew anything about the romance that is believed to be taking place between Davidson and Kardashian.
Chris Redd was also in attendance at the event on Thursday night and shared his thoughts about the rumored couple with PEOPLE.
Impressed by Pete Davidson
Like a lot of people, Redd seemed a bit taken back by the fact that Davidson has managed to establish a romance with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum.
"Pete and Kim? Damn, Pete. Damn!" he said. "I hope they’re happy. They’re wearing matching outfits so I think they’re on their way. [At least] that’s what Instagram told me."
Davidson and Kardashian have remained mum on the nature of their relationship. However, judging by the time they’ve spent together, something is going on.
Pete's 28th Birthday
Last week, after Davidson celebrated his 28th birthday with Kardashian in Palm Springs, California, a source told PEOPLE the couple "had a great time" together.
"Pete is back in NYC now, but Kim had a great time with him in Palm Springs," an insider said. "They were very affectionate and seem more serious. He is very sweet to Kim. She is smitten."
"They have plans to see each other again soon," the source added.
The insider also said that Davidson and Kardashian were staying in touch, even when on different coasts.
Home To Staten Island
"They are getting to know each other better and getting along great," the source said. "Kim loves his spark. He is very funny, entertaining and makes Kim happy. They are still dating and enjoying it. He showers Kim with compliments and she loves it."
After seemingly hitting it off while filming Saturday Night Live weeks ago, Davidson reportedly took Kardashian home to Staten Island, where the two of them enjoyed a private meal.
The following night, as PEOPLE confirmed, they were spotted at Zero Bond, a club in Manhattan.
