IN PHOTOS | Stargazers get a 2-for-1 treat with supermoon, comet

Full moon rising above trees with Sydney Opera House partially in view in the foreground, as well as boats travelling in the water.

October’s supermoon is the closest of the year to Earth, and it’s teaming up with a comet for a rare stargazing two-for-one. The supermoon is 355,288 kilometres away Wednesday night, making it seem even bigger and brighter than in August and September.
