Katie Holmes, who does not share photos of daughter Suri Cruise often, has posted one featuring her only daughter on Instagram. Marking a special occasion and going down the throwback route as daughter Suri is now in her teens, the Dawson’s Creek sweetheart marked National Daughter’s Day with a tender photo.
Katie, 42, shares Suri with Mission Impossible actor and ex-husband Tom Cruise, a man rarely seen with his daughter. Check out the photo and what Katie has to say about Suri below.
Suri Cruise Makes Appearance On Instagram
Scroll for the photo. The shot opted out of showing faces, but it did feature plenty of love. The black-and-white snap showed Katie fixing up her daughter’s shoe strap, with fans seeing a pretty small pair of feet – Suri is now 15, having celebrated her birthday in April.
Suri might well have been about four or five in the snap, one cutting off below the knee as fans saw her wearing a dress, with Katie wearing jeans as she took care of her little one.

No words were used in the caption, with Katie merely leaving a string of red heart emoji. The actress, who once made headlines for outfitting Suri with a reported $ 2 million wardrobe – she is, herself, worth $ 25 million – quickly had fans picking up on National Daughter’s Day in the comments.
"Happy National Daughters Day, Katie and Suri! ❤️" one replied.
"Time flies!" another added, noting: "I love how you have a good balance in honoring your daughter’s privacy, while still sharing your joys."
Quarantine Simplicity Brought Them Closer
Katie, who is regularly photographed out and about in NYC with her teen, has been opening up on how COVID actually brought her and Suri closer.
“I will say that this time of quarantine has been such a lesson, just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and (spending) that time together,” she told Australia’s The Daily Telegraph. “I feel strongly that the power of your own attitude definitely influences those around you, including your children.”
Keeps Her ‘Out Of Interviews’
The mom of one added: “I like to keep her out of my interviews."
Holmes welcomed Suri in 2006 and aged 27. Turns out, she thought her twenties were just the right time to have a baby. She told Elle: "I was happy to become a mom in my twenties," adding:
"It’s been nice that our ages fit. How do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together."
