Meet ‘the mad Canadian’ who ran the length of Italy — in 85 days

Canadian David Orr near Mont Blanc. The Canadian ran along one of the world's longest trails the 'Great Italian Trail' from Mount Etna in southern Italy to Mont Blanc on the French-Italian border.

The path to self-discovery can take people to unusual places, but few go as far as Canada’s David Orr who ran for almost three months and 3,500 kilometres up the length of Italy. It’s a journey he describes as mystical, from the eruptive Mount Etna in the south to the snow-covered Mont Blanc in the north.
