WITH a growing ageing population in the UK it is expected that in the next two decades there will be around 1.6 million people living with dementia. It is actually a syndrome and refers to a group of diseases that includes Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. However, some people can live with a combination of these diseases rather than just one.
