THE MODERNA vaccine has been approved for UK use as a booster shot to top up waning immunity levels ahead of winter. Although adverse reactions remain extremely rare, a “painful” side effect has shown up in some recipients 11 days after getting their Moderna jab, reports the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency .
