NFL News: Miles Sanders Shares His Honest Thoughts On Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles finished last season strong. They performed slightly above expectations, finding much-needed offensive balance and letting the running game open gaps for Jalen Hurts' dual-threat abilities.

Nonetheless, some NFL insiders still wonder whether Hurts is QB1 material and good enough to lead the team to success. But that's not how his teammates feel.

Miles Sanders Says Hurts Can Lead Eagles To The Super Bowl

Recently, Eagles' RB Miles Sander raved about Hurts' development, going as far as to say that he can lead them to the Super Bowl:

“Just watching him get more comfortable each and every game literally, he’s doing more and it’s showing in the games,” Sanders said, per Eagleswire. “He’s getting more comfortable and having fun with it. As long as you have good chemistry, any team can make it to the Super Bowl.”Sanders Wants To Prove The Doubters Wrong

Sanders, like Hurts, also has a chip on his shoulder. While undeniably impactful, his constant injuries have raised some red flags about him. That's why he's taking things extra personal this year:

“I’ve still got a lot to prove,” Sanders added. “A lot of people don’t respect all the work I’ve done, and I’ve still got a lot to prove. I’m taking it real personal this year. Just find a way to get noticed and command the respect, I’m not taking no for an answer this year. Just stay healthy, just be available, that’s my main goal this year. I want to be the best. That’s what I train to be. I want to be the best, period. I exhaust myself working hard to try to get to that point. I’m taking it a little more personal this year.”Eagles Are Hungry For More

The Eagles have made some interesting moves in the offseason and Sanders thinks they can hit the ground running after finishing last season on a high note:

“I didn’t take too much time off, I had my little injury, got my hand right and I’m good to go,” Sanders said. “We had potential last year, and you saw what we did with it — we still made the playoffs, but that’s not good enough for us. We got a lot of new pieces. Just can’t wait to get back together with the guys and get the chemistry going and start the season off right and get off to a good start.”What's Philly's Ceiling?

Nick Sirianni's team showed some promise late in the season. Running the football really turned their pedestrian offense around, and their defense performed widely better than expected.

They will once again play in one of football's easiest divisions so making the playoffs is a strong possibility, and DeVonta Smith looks like a superstar in the making. Hopefully, Hurts will finally take a step forward and prove that he can be a starter in this league.
