Parents urged to act now or face HMRC fine – will you be hit by tax charge?

PARENTS are being reminded that they have less than two weeks to register for self assessment if they think they might be impacted by the High Income Benefit Charge. Anyone receiving Child Benefit who earns more than £50,000 a year could be caught out with a hefty fine if they don’t opt out or submit a separate self assessment form to HM Revenues and Custom by October 5.
