STEVEN SPIELBERG was invited to watch Star Wars for the first time by George Lucas and along with the film’s editor, he couldn’t follow what was going on, admitting “to say it wasn’t finished is a kindness”. The film’s director couldn’t believe what he’d got himself into and was left feeling “very frustrated”.
