Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix began dating at the end of the second season of Vanderpump Rules and now, as fans await the premiere of season nine, they’re offering an update on their years-long romance.
Weeks after wrapping production on the new episodes of the Bravo reality show with the engagement party of their cast mates, James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss, Madix spoke to the Bravo Insider about what she learned about her relationship with Sandoval amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Tom Sandoval And Ariana Madix Allow One Another Alone Time
"I mean, one thing that I definitely learned is that I can be around Tom for extended periods of time and still enjoy his company," Madix said.
"Likewise," Sandoval agreed. "I feel like we have a good rhythm and rapport. But we still have enough of our own things going on. ‘Cause you do need a little bit of that separation. And we have the gym. I go into the gym, I work out and do a lot of work in there. Ariana does a lot of it in the bedroom. So we do have a chance to kind of get away from each other, and then there’s time together."
Ariana Madix Says She And Tom Sandoval Have Kept Their Independence
According to Madix, she believes that the way in which she and Sandoval allow one another space is key to their romance.
"We keep our independence where [and] when we can," she said. "And then when we do have time to spend together, it is really special."
When Sandoval and Madix were then asked about how they’d been spending their time, Sandoval said that he and Madix have had "some really fun dance parties."
"Like, just the two of us dance parties," he clarified.

Although Madix doesn’t want any children of her own, she and Sandoval share a couple of dogs, Charlotte York and Maya, as well as a cat named Kitty, all of whom keep them quite busy.
"I don’t know if you remember Homeward Bound,” Madix said, “But they’re like my Shadow, Chance, and Sassy. They definitely have a little bit of that dynamic. And it’s really cute to just see how they’ve come together as a pack and a family in the last year.”

Back in February, while celebrating Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend of several years, Sandoval wrote, "Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life…And the best damn Dumplin in the whole wide world!"
Also earlier this year, Madix posted an anniversary message for Sandoval.
"7 years with you. You’ve shown me love that I had only dreamed of. I don’t know what adventures life has in store for us but if it’s anything like the last 7 years, I can’t wait to spend every moment with you," she wrote. "I love you."
